Marlay Craft Fair 2017 – set in the superb Marlay House within the grounds of Marlay Park in Rathfarnham, this is truly a wonderful family day out destination.
All the crafts are made here in Ireland by small craft businesses. It is great to support our own creative crafts people and also to get good value for the money we spend this Christmas.
This will be the 16th year of the Marlay Craft Fair. Every year the standard of the crafts being exhibited has just got better and better. You can be sure that you will find top class creative gifts for all at this year’s fair.
Each year the fair takes place on the last full weekend in November, this year’s dates are:
Friday 17th November 6 – 9pm
Saturday 18th November 10 – 5pm
Sunday 19th November 10 – 5pm
Here are some comments from a selection of our exhibitors:
Liz Bowes – Derrynine Candles and LizzieB: “Marlay Christmas fair is one of the best shows of the year. The setting and atmosphere is second to none.
Laura Cassidy – Laura Cassidy Design: “I’m looking forward to being at such a stunning venue and to bringing my crafts from Co.Wicklow to the people of Dublin.”
Jack B Kearney – Table lamps and wood designs: “The reason why I like exhibiting in Marlay is the intimate atmosphere and the range of quality Irish crafts displayed in the magical setting of Marlay House.”
Aisling Smith – By Aisling, Jewellery: “The Marley Craft Fair is a great place to showcase my new Collection to my local community”
Helen Ennis – Dunbeacon Pottery: “I look forward to the Marlay Craft Fair each year because it gives me the opportunity to meet with many of my Dublin customers. I enjoy the setting of Marlay House, its not often I get the chance to sell my wares in such fine Georgian surroundings! I notice a lot of people use the fair as an opportunity to visit the house too. It’s a well run fair with good, friendly, supportive atmosphere between stall holders. It’s a nice intimate fair where most of the stallholders are the actual makers, so this means that year on year visitors to the fair can see how work/ranges of product have developed. As a stallholder it’s also a great chance to do some shopping!”
